Kailash - Manasrovar Tirth Yatra
Har Har Mahadev! I am very excited to share few photographs of my journey to Kailash Parvat Manasrovar Pilgrim Yatra. It was a remarkable experience of my life. The ten days long tirth yatra was full of adventure and prayers. I booked my trip through a Kathmandu based tour company by the name of Kailash Journey Pvt. Ltd. The time I reached Kathmandu I found that there are 19 more people accompanying in the same group. They were from Canada, Germany, Singapore, Russia and India. All of them were very caring and become like a family.
The tour operator company took us by chartered plane to Nepalganj and then by Helicopter to Chinese border. After entering into China we had 72 k.m. long Parikarma by bus for Manasrovar. Manasrovar is a beautiful icy cold frozen lake on the foot hills of Kailash Parvat. Where I had the privilege to have holy bath. During the holy bath I performed prayers for all of you and your families. I had also performed the Asti Visarjan of Late Sh. Mrinal Kant Chabba who happened to be a noble soul and our NGO's well wisher, died at Germany in August 2015.
The next day on 7th May 2016 we started walking from Yum Dwar to cover 14 k.m. part of Parikarma of Kailash Parvat. After night holt at camping zone where the facilities were bear minimum including the toilet facility was in open air. The next morning was the real challenging day when we had to cover 22 k.m. in a day, Parikarma of Kailash Parvat. This Journey was the most difficult tracking over high rise snow covered mountain with frozen rivers, glaciers, rough and tough path with full of danger. The time we were about to start yatra, 13 members out of group decided to quit as it was not advisable to travel so much due to circumstances. It was not a question of contest because the team members already had the closest darshan of Kailash Parvat. The time we reached on the top of the mountain near Gauri Kund area it was around 5600 meter high from the sea level. The cold winds were blowing. Suddenly there was an incident, my oxygen level dropped to danger level, I almost had to struggle for my life. I was breathless, started falling here and there on ice and on rocks. But by the blessing of God I had tremendous help from the team guide his name is Lamababu and an angel from the universe, she was a local helper assigned to me as an attendant. Her name is Nemyong. Both of them were very generous, they had looked after me very well. I was given oxygen to cover rest of the yatra. By the blessing of Lord Shiva, in few hours I recovered completely. I was perfectly fine and covered rest of the yatra with thumping spirit. The next day we started early morning to cover 9 k.m. of remaining Parikarma. The other members of group were waiting for us to welcome and then after we return back to Delhi via China and Nepal.
By the blessing of Lord Shiva it was a life time experience for me. Please find few photographs of the Yatra. Thank you so much for acknowledging. May God bless you all. Warm regards, Ravi Kalra.
